Anxiety

Anxiety can feel relentless — racing thoughts, tightness in your chest, difficulty sleeping, overthinking conversations, or always anticipating what could go wrong. You may look capable on the outside while feeling overwhelmed on the inside.

In our work together, we’ll approach anxiety from multiple angles:

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) helps us gently examine unhelpful thinking patterns and reduce avoidance behaviours that keep anxiety stuck.
  • Narrative therapy allows us to separate you from “the anxiety” so it no longer defines you or runs your life.
  • Attachment-focused work explores how early relational experiences may shape how safe (or unsafe) the world feels today.
  • Solution-Focused Therapy helps identify what’s already working and build on your existing strengths.
  • Self-compassion practices soften the harsh inner voice that often fuels anxiety.
  • When anxiety is rooted in past experiences, EMDR can help your nervous system process and resolve the memories that continue to trigger fear responses.

Our goal isn’t to eliminate anxiety entirely — it’s to help you feel grounded, capable, and in charge of your life again.
